When should my child have their first dental appointment?

It’s best to bring your child to the dentist once they reach their first birthday, or their first tooth erupts.

When does my child need to see an orthodontist?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends all children see an orthodontist by their 7th birthday. At Tender Smiles 4 Kids, we are both a pediatric dental practice and orthodontic practice, so our dentists will recommend an orthodontic appointment if they see any signs that your child needs treatment earlier than age 7.
